The National Parks and Wildlife Service has severely restricted camping in the Myall Lakes National Park from 2001 due to the danger of limbs falling off the 400 year old paper bark trees. So if you would like to enjoy a holiday in the area you will need to check out the allowed camp sites or rent a house in the vicinity of the lake or maybe hire a houseboat. If you have your own boat with accommodation and appropriate toilet fitted, you might like to bring your boat to the ‘Whispering Myalls’ there are several excellent launching ramps.

Uniquely Australian. A highway town for refreshment and refueling on the way to Brisbane, but much more National Park camping, boating, hiking, fishing, hiring of houseboats, renting of accommodation and enjoying the rural atmosphere.
