CWCI (Christian Women Communicating International) is a non-denominational Christian women's organisation for outreach, evangelism and bible teaching which operates in Australia & internationally.

One of the ministries of CWCI is the Safari ministry.  Teams of 2 women go into isolated areas of Australia to reach out with the love of Christ, solid teaching and fellowship.  Some of the areas covered in Australia include tropical islands, Kimberleys, Pilbara, and the one I recently attended, South West Qld.  The team consists of a pilot, speaker and team leader.  I was asked to attend as team leader.  We were based in Longreach for the first week and travelled each day to towns and properties such as Alpha, Jericho, Aramac, Muyong (property) at Muttaburra, Barcaldine, and returned to Longreach each evening.  The second week we left for Boulia on Monday for a meeting there, arrived that evening in Lake Nash, an aboriginal settlement inside the N.T. and remained there until Wednesday.  The church at Lake Nash held a number of meetings especially for us which were well attended and we were able to share with and encourage each other.  We then flew to Winton, and finally back to Longreach.  All the meetings were well attended, we were warmly welcomed at each venue, (well fed!) and comments generally were "we look forward to this every time"  "thank you so much for coming all the way out here" etc.  There was opportunity for in-depth personal ministry and there were some positive outcomes regarding new bible study groups forming, fellowship meetings being arranged, prayer ministry, etc.  There was a hunger amongst these isolated women to learn and for physical contact with other Christians, and there is praise and thanks to God that CWCI takes the time and effort to remember them and act physically to mission them.
