Easter 2005, Cross on Alum Mountain A small band of enthusiasts ventured up the mountain again this year to remind us of what happened on Friday 2005 years ago and the Sunday that followed. |

Crosses decorate church steeples and designated burial places. Some mark the spot where people died in highway accidents. Quite often they are worn as jewellery.
Crosses remind people of Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross for us, but we don't worship a dead Saviour. Our Lord's body was placed in a tomb and then on the third day He emerged in a glorified body.
If it were not for what Christ did on the cross, we would all stand guilty before God and hopeless in the face of death. But through faith in Him, we receive the forgiveness of all our sins and the .assurance- that death cannot hold us.
Have YOU looked at the Cross and placed your trust in the One who died there? It's the only sure and perfect remedy for guilt and fear.
Bulahdelah Community groups and Combined Churches will have the lighted cross on The Alum Mountain over the Easter holidays.
Look at the cross ~ think of what Christ did for YOU .
