Situated at the
foot of Alum Mountain in the picturesque Myall Valley, the Alum Mountain
Caravan Park is the perfect environment to enjoy nature. Surrounded by
forests with magnificent trees including The Grandis, the area has some great
bush walking and 4WD trails. Alum Mountain, famous for its mining history ,
is home to a wide variety of native animals, birds and plants including a
spectacular range of orchids. Mountain top lookouts offer panoramic views of
the Myall Lakes National Park and the ocean. The mountain is
great for abseiling, mountain climbing and bush walking and has some lovely
picnic areas. The Myall River is a short stroll from the Alum Mountain
Caravan Park. It winds its way through the Myall Lakes to Port Stephens and
the ocean, a scenic 20 minute drive. Boat ramps located next to the
Bulahdelah Bridge offer easy access to Myall River and boats are available
for hire. A variety of
events and festivals are held in Bulahdelah including the Bulahdelah Show
(rural show & rodeo), The Bulahdelah Classic Friendly Paddle (canoe/kayak
race), King of the Mountain (bowls comp), Bass Bash (fishing comp), various
car rallies and 4WD meets. Bulahdelah is a friendly convenient place to stay,
with a range of shops, restaurants, clubs and cafe's. Popular activities
include tennis, bowls and golf (with kangaroos on the golf course every
afternoon) .The skate park and swimming pool are great for kids with surfing
and horse riding nearby. A museum, library and Visitor Information Centre are
also located in the town. With over 5 acres
of beautifully maintained and landscaped grounds, the Alum Mountain Caravan
Park is the perfect place for a holiday or an overnight stay. The Park is
conveniently located at the foot of Alum Mountain on the Pacific Highway,
Bulahdelah, 2½ hours drive north of Sydney. Close to beaches, lakes and
forests the Alum Mountain Caravan Park offers caravans and cabins, camping
and caravan sites, BBQ's, swimming pool, shop, fuel ice, gas and take away
